MICHIGAN PRIDE!

Motorcycle Safety Program
Macomb Community College is a member of the Detroit Metro Regional Consortium which manages the Motorcycle Safety Program, whose primary objective is improving the safety of motorcyclists.

Founded in 1999, the Motorcycle Safety Program offers hands-on and comprehensive motorcycle safety training in a comfortable, safe and secure environment. Motorcycle training courses include Basic Rider, 3-Wheel Basic Rider, Returning Rider Basic Rider and Advanced Rider. Training courses are conducted at Macomb Community College, as well as various community colleges throughout Southeast Michigan, by a staff of professional and certified instructors who have a passion for motorcycles and motorcycle safety.

Motorcycle safety training courses are priced at only $25 each. Students who successfully pass the Basic Rider, 3-Wheel Basic Rider or Returning Rider Basic Rider safety training courses receive a State of Michigan Certificate of Completion which is accepted by the Michigan Secretary of State to waive the riding skills portion of their motorcycle endorsement exam.

Specifically, applicants who present a State of Michigan Certificate of Completion are only required to successfully pass the written test, complete the vision screening and pay the endorsement fee to receive a motorcycle endorsement (license) to legally operate a motorcycle in the State of Michigan. Since its inception, the Motorcycle Safety Program has trained over 50,000 motorcyclists. We encourage you to learn more about the Motorcycle Safety Program by visiting their website at schoolcraft.edu/cepd/motorcycle.

Charities
We are committed to giving back to the communities we serve. That's why we provide financial assistance and volunteer services to local non-profit organizations that support motorcycle safety, families in need and animal welfare. Because the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan and the Michigan Humane Society meet those criteria, we are proud to donate up to 5% of our annual net revenue to support their goodwill and benevolent causes. Guests may also make a donation to the above organizations when purchasing tickets to the show. The table below provides a brief description of each organization for your consideration.
